Similarly, man’s conscience, so long as it remains sound, does not lie. If man's carnal self or desires do not delude it, it deeply feels the existence of God and finds peace in belief in and worship of Him. Thus, it is the spirit, which directs or commands man’s conscience as well as his other faculties. The spirit seeks the world from which it has come and yearns for its Creator. Unless it is stunted and spoiled with sins, it will find the Creator and in Him will it attain true happiness.
